Global Actors in Public Policy
About
This course focuses on interactions of different actors involved in public policy issues on the global level and brings together classical international relations and public policy theories. The traditional list of actors usually includes only governmental structures, but this course enables the students to take a closer look at the emerging actors in public policy field. In current global environment they are global media, transnational business corporations, religious movements, non-governmental and international organizations, etc. The students are expected to get not only theoretical perspective on the role of such actors, but also to research the means and ends of their practical activities.
