Курс посвящен современным формам эдьютейнмента — совмещения обучения и развлечения — и знакомит студентов с основными принципами и современными подходами к обучению детей 6–12 лет, обучая их создавать эффективные образовательные продукты для детей вне рамок школьной программы.
Рассматриваются теоретические основы эдьютейнмента, виды и форматы (интерактивные экскурсии, обучающие игры, квизы, квесты), а также психолого-педагогические механизмы повышения мотивации через геймификацию, как в дистанционном, так и в очном формате.
Особое внимание уделяется проектированию занятий, сочетающих обучение и игру, и соответствующих критериям качества, этическим аспектам и культурным контекстам использования развлекательно-образовательных практик.
Курс нацелен на подготовку специалистов в области разработки образовательно-досугового контента для детей с учетом знаний детской психологии, когнитивных особенностей, а также актуальных социальных и технологических реалий.

1. History of Pedagogy and Didactics
The course examines the development of pedagogical thought and didactic concepts from antiquity to the present. It explores the key ideas of eminent educators and their influence on contemporary approaches to education (Montessori, Waldorf pedagogy, High Scope, and others). Historical models of upbringing and instruction are analyzed, alongside the formation of school institutions and the evolution of conceptions of childhood, the individual, the role of the educator, and methods of teaching. The course considers the contemporary situation and the place of educational leisure within the learning process.
2. Children-Targeted Culture
The course investigates the phenomenon of children’s culture as a distinct segment of cultural production. From a diachronic perspective, it examines literature, media, games, as well as visual and digital formats created specifically for or adapted to a child audience. Issues of cultural policy, legislation, ethics, age-specific targeting, stereotypes, and representations of childhood are also addressed. Students learn to analyze children’s cultural products and understand their role in socialization, upbringing, and the formation of values.
3. Young Learners Education
The course is devoted to the specifics of teaching children aged 6–12. It covers the psychological characteristics of childhood and preadolescence, including cognitive and emotional development, mechanisms of motivation, perception of learning material. Contemporary pedagogical strategies are examined, including play-based and project-based methods, as well as approaches to inclusion and differentiated instruction.
4. Educational Products for Young Learners
The course trains students in the fundamentals of designing educational-leisure products for children, including learning materials, board games, multimedia courses, workbooks, as well as forms of organizing educational leisure (clubs, extracurricular activities, courses). Students become familiar with principles for working with a child audience, methods of testing and adapting materials to age-specific needs. Emphasis is placed on an interdisciplinary approach, integrating pedagogy, design, and content development to create high-quality and safe educational products.
