MAGOLEGO

About

MAGOLEGO is an elective mandatory component of the Master's degree curriculum designed to customise the students' learning journey and achieve individual learning outcomes. The number of credits that can be spent on these electives during Course Selection Campaigns varies for each programme depending on its curriculum.

Individual Learning Outcomes (ILOs)

ILOs are freely formulated, representing your own personal and professional goals that the content of courses at HSE University can help you achieve.

When and How to Select

During the Course Selection Campaign, before the start of each semester, in December and June.

Use the SmartWay system and keep an eye on the information about course selection from your study office.

Many MAGOLEGO courses have limited places available, leading to competition for spots. It is recommended to make your choice at the very beginning of the campaign.

If you miss out on a course important to you, monitor similar themed courses in subsequent campaigns.

What to Do If the Chosen Course Does Not Suit You

It depends on the reason.

  1. Course unsuitable due to content: You can remove it from your individual study plan by submitting an application to the study office no later than 10 academic days after the start of the course.
  2. Schedule change leading to overlap:
  • If another study group is available for the course, you may switch to a group that better fits your schedule without needing to drop the course.

  • If there is only one group for the course, you can withdraw from the course, even if more than 10 academic days have passed since the start of classes.
